6th Annual Frost Bike 50


The 6th annual Frost Bike 50 is set for Sunday, January 27, 2008. The Frost bike 50 is the 1st BP MS 150 Recommended Ride of the 2008 season. Riders can choose from 17, 45 and 55 mile routes. The Frost Bike 50 starts and ends at Cy-Fair College in Cypress, Texas. The course is relatively flat with slight occasional climbs. The past 3 years the ride has drawn 1500 to 2000 riders. The Frost Bike ride is sponsored by the Jersey Village High School Gold Dusters. The volunteers for this event consist of the members of the Jersey Village Drill team, their parents and former parent club members who return to assist with the ride.

It has become a tradition at this ride to provide banana bread at all of the rest stops. Each year, riders comment how much they enjoy the bread and some riders refer to the ride as The Banana Bread ride.
